Parul Chaudhary won a gold medal in the women’s 5000m final on Monday after taking home a silver in the women’s 3000m steeplechase. In the last few meters of the race, she defeated Japan’s Ririka Hironaka with a time of 15:14.75. In the meantime, Vithya Ramraj won the women’s 400-meter final and a silver medal.
