As per news reports, Hollywood pop sensation Dua Lipa is scheduled to perform at the 2023 International Cricket Council Men’s Cricket World Cup musical ceremony, which is scheduled to take place before the final match on Sunday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Dua had previously performed at the UEFA Champions League and a few other sporting events.
The news broke after the singer engaged in conversation with a few players during an AskDua session prior to the first semi-final between India and New Zealand, even though the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has not yet disclosed its plans for the Sunday.
During her interactions with K L Rahul and Shubman Gill from India and Kane Williamson and Daryl Mitchell from New Zealand, the Albanian singer-songwriter was asked about her favorite songs.
Gill inquired about the song she might perform at the World Cup’s opening and closing ceremonies during their conversation. ‘Physical’ and ‘One Kiss’ were her response songs.
