Today’s earthquake in Delhi was also felt in certain areas of India, including New Delhi and the neighboring areas. In several areas of New Delhi, people hurried out of their homes and business buildings. In India or Nepal, there were no immediate reports of damage.

According to the National Centre for Seismology, the Earthquake in Delhi epicentre was in Nepal at 29.39 degrees north latitude and 81.23 degrees east longitude.

Residents in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) were surprised by strong earthquake shocks today. The National Center for Seismology reports that a seismic event with a magnitude of 6.2 occurred in Nepal at a depth of 5 kilometers. The capital city of India, New Delhi, as well as other regions witnessed the repercussions of this earthquake.

People in several parts of New Delhi fled their homes and business buildings as the ground trembled under them. Fortunately, neither India nor Nepal have reported any initial reports of serious damage or casualties.

According to the National Center for Seismology, the earthquake’s epicenter was in Nepal at 29.39 degrees North latitude and 81.23 degrees East longitude. Additionally, the earthquake in the Nepal region was measured at 5.6 on the Richter scale by the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ), a national geological research organization.

People were forced to leave their homes in cities like Dehradun in various parts of Northern India because to the Earthquake in Delhi quick and strong shocks. Government offices observed staff members leaving their places of employment out of prudence as the panic was obvious.

Local time says that the earthquake that jolted Nepal struck at 2:51 PM. A magnitude 5.3 earthquake that occurred earlier on Tuesday afternoon in Nepal’s western regions was reported by the National Center for Seismology. No injuries or property damage have been reported as a result of these earthquakes.

It is important to note that the earthquake started in the Talakot region of Nepal’s Bajhang district, around 700 kilometers west of Kathmandu. A portion of India and Bhajanang’s adjacent regions also felt the effects of the earthquake.

Two earthquakes were reported to have occurred in less than 30 minutes, according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS). At 2:25:52 PM IST, there was an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.6, then at 2:51:04 PM IST, there was an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2.

According to a tweet from the NCS, “Magnitude: 4.6, Date: 03-10-2023, Time: 14:25:52 IST, Latitude: 29.37, Longitude: 81.22, Depth: 10 kilometers, Location: Nepal.” The depth of the first earthquake was 10 kilometers, whereas the depth of the second, more powerful earthquake was 5 kilometers.

They also included the following information in another tweet: “Magnitude: 6.2, Date: 03-10-2023, Time: 14:51:04 IST, Latitude: 29.39, Longitude: 81.23, Depth: 5 kilometers, Location: Nepal.”

Mansukh Mandaviya, the central health minister, and others were forced to leave construction sites as a precaution because to the intense earthquakes detected throughout Northern India.
