As the ICC ODI World Cup approaches, most international cricket teams’ attention turns to the T20 World Cup that will take place next year. Prior to that, there is the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction, which will determine the teams for the competition’s 17th edition.

The IPL 2024 mini-auction, which is set for December 19 in Dubai, is where franchises will decide on their teams for the 2024 IPL. The date of the IPL in 2019 is still up in the air.

The IPL trade window, which opens prior to the mini-auction, enables teams to exchange players with one another or purchase players outright in all-cash transactions.

The 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) season is well underway for the franchises, with the deadline for releasing the list of retained and released players being November 26. The players will travel to Dubai for the auction on December 19 of that year.

We have simplified the process for you while the franchises search for the key solutions: in this piece, we’ll examine a team-by-team roster of the players that each of the ten teams has the option to release.

The Mumbai Indians (MI) may decide to release top foreign players Jofra Archer and Cameron Green ahead of the IPL Auction 2024 in order to raise additional money for Hardik Pandya’s return to the team.

According to a Cricbuzz report, Mumbai will have to release players to make room for Pandya’s return because they don’t have enough money in their salary purse. Cameron Green and Jofra Racher, who were acquired for 17.5 crore and 8 crore, respectively, are therefore probably going to leave in order for the team to raise an additional INR 5 crore.

Pandya is paid INR 15 crore, and MI is required to give Pandya this sum. The Gujarat Titans will be compensated further for the transfer of the star all-around player.

BCCI is currently not involved in the trade agreements between the two teams. Although no official word has been released as of yet, it is most likely that by Saturday night or Sunday, which is the final day for player releases and trades, an announcement will be made.

In addition, there were online rumors suggesting that Mumbai’s star player, Rohit Sharma, who helped the team win the IPL a record five times, may be cut from the team.

IPL 2024 Trading Window for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB): Faf du Plessis-led The Royal Challengers Bangalore will try to win the Indian Premier League for the first time. With Virat Kohli, the batter who was named man of the tournament in the just-finished ODI World Cup 2023, the team will be confident.

Anuj Rawat and Harshal Patel, two pacers, as well as wicketkeeper batter Dinesh Karthik, have been released by RCB. RCB’s current cash on hand is INR 1.75 crore. The last day for all IPL teams to submit their retention list is Sunday, November 26. On December 19, the IPL 2024 auction will take place in Dubai.

Another player to keep an eye out for is Glenn Maxwell, an all-rounder who proved to be deadly in the just-finished World Cup. In Australia’s victory over Afghanistan, he hit a game-winning blow, and the Royals will be hoping for the same from the all-round player.

In advance of the 2024 Indian Premier League, the players who are released by their franchise will be up for auction in Dubai on December 19. These players can still compete in the IPL if they are not sold; however, only if a team purchases them in lieu of someone else.

Captain Faf du Plessis, Finn Allen, Virat Kohli, Suyash Prabhudessai, Manoj Bhandage, Mahipal Lomror, Glenn Maxwell, Michael Bracewell, Kedar Jadhav, Wanindu Hasaranga, Shahbaz Ahmed, David Willey, Anuj Rawat, Dinesh Karthik, Akash Deep, Avinash Singh, Josh Hazlewood, Siddarth Kaul, Mohammed Siraj, Harshal Patel, Rajan Kumar, Himanshu Sharma, Karn Sharma, Sonu Yadav, Wayne Parnell, Vijaykumar Vyshak make up the current RCB squad.
