Contrary to early expectations, it now appears that the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 won’t have a lavish opening ceremony. The celebration, which was initially planned to begin at 7 PM at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium following the “Captains’ Day” program, appears to have been postponed, but there hasn’t been a formal announcement to that effect yet.

There won’t be a formal opening ceremony for the 2023 One Day International (ODI) World Cup, according to many sources. Before the start of this famous quadrennial competition, on October 4th at the Narendra Modi Stadium, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had originally planned a magnificent opening ceremony. Bollywood stars like Ranveer Singh and Tamanna Bhatia, as well as renowned playback singers like Arijit Singh, Shreya Ghoshal, and Asha Bhosle, were scheduled to perform at the event. To add a bit of spectacle, fireworks and a laser show were also anticipated for the start of the ICC Cricket World Cup in India in 2023.
